Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to AdvertMingo. We provide advertising and data-driven services for our clients, including pushing data to social media and audience platforms. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal data when you use our login dialog or otherwise interact with our services.
By logging in and using our service you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Data controller and contact details
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the controller of your personal data.
Our details:
ADVERTMINGO LTD
Address: 2 Albert Place, London, N3 1QB, United Kingdom
Email: dpo@advertmingo.com
3. What personal data we collect
When you use our login dialog and services we may collect:
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, job role, company (if relevant).
- Login credentials or OAuth tokens (if using “login with” a social provider).
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, timestamp of login, device identifiers.
- Advertising and marketing data: your interactions with our service, conversions, click-through data, audience segmentation attributes, identifiers such as advertising IDs or social media user IDs (where permitted).
- Social media data: if you grant permission via a social login (for example via Meta, X, etc.), we may receive or collect data from that social account (e.g., public profile details, friend list, social media ID) in line with your permissions and the social platform’s rules.
- Data for analytics and performance measurement: aggregated or pseudonymised behavioural data.
4. How and why we use your personal data (purposes and legal basis)
We use your data for the following purposes:
- To provide our login, authentication and account access services (necessary for performance of a contract with you).
- To enable segmentation, targeting and delivery of advertising campaigns on social media and other digital platforms (with your consent and/or under our legitimate interests, where lawful).
- To measure, report and optimise the performance of advertisements and marketing campaigns, including pushing data to social media platforms to build audiences, look-alike audiences or retargeting sets.
- To detect, prevent and remedy fraud or abuse of our services (legitimate interests).
- To communicate with you about your account, changes to our services, or legal/regulatory notices (necessary to comply with our legal obligations or performance of contract).
When we rely on consent (for example, if you tick a box to allow us to push certain social media identifiers), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time (see Section 8). When we rely on legitimate interests, we will ensure that your rights and interests do not override our interests (we maintain a Legitimate Interests Assessment).
5. Sharing your personal data
We may share your personal data with:
- Social media platforms (for example Meta, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc) and ad networks as part of delivering your campaigns and building audiences.
- Our service providers, subcontractors or processors who support our operations (e.g., analytics providers, cloud hosting, marketing data vendors).
- Our clients (if you are acting on behalf of a company), to enable them to run campaigns and review results.
- Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law.
- Other third parties only when we have your explicit consent.
Whenever we transfer your personal data to a third party (including social media platforms), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., data processing agreements, standard contractual clauses where applicable).
6. International transfers
Because many ad networks and social media platforms operate globally, your personal data may be transferred to, processed or stored in countries outside the UK. We will ensure that any such transfer is either:
- to a country deemed to provide an adequate level of protection by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); or
- subject to appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms under UK GDPR.
7. Data retention
We will retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in Section 4 (including any legal, regulatory, tax or accounting obligations) or as long as you have an active account with us. After that, your personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under UK law you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- The right to access the data we hold about you.
- The right to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- The right to request erasure of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”) where we have no lawful basis to continue processing.
- The right to restrict or object to our processing of your data (in particular for direct marketing or profiling).
- The right to data portability (in certain circumstances).
- The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s supervisory authority: the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at dpo@advertmingo.com.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, browser local storage, pixels, SDKs or similar tracking technologies to support authentication, session management, analytics, advertising delivery, audience building and performance measurement. You may manage your cookie preferences via your browser settings and opt-out of certain analytics or advertising cookies. Additional information is available in our Cookies Policy.
10. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These measures include encryption in transit, access controls, regular testing, and vulnerability assessments.
11. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for users aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors (under 18). If you believe we have collected data from someone under 18 you may contact us at dpo@advertmingo.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/regulatory reasons. We will post the updated version on our website and indicate the date of last revision. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.

14. Specific disclosures for social login / social media data push
Because your login may use a social media provider (e.g., “Login with Facebook/Meta”) and because we push advertising-data (such as your identifiers, conversion data, audience segments) to social media platforms, please note:
- When you choose to log in via a social media provider you will be asked to grant certain permissions (for example access to your profile, email, friend list). That permission is between you and the social platform; we only receive what you authorise and what the social platform allows.
- We will push to the social media platform and advertising partners only the minimum data necessary for the purpose of building or delivering audiences, retargeting or look-alike segments.
- You can opt out of this data-push by contacting us or adjusting your social media account/advertising preferences with the social platform.
- We do not sell your personal data; we share data only as described in Section 5.
- The social platform may have its own rights and policies which apply to how they use your data after we send it; you should review their privacy policy as well.
